Политика конфиденциальности
Вступают в силу с 18 июля 2026 г.
1. Кто мы
IndieLift (getindielift.com) is a cross-promotion platform for authors. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have. Questions any time: hello@getindielift.com.
2. What we collect
- Account. Your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and the email Google shares with us. We do not receive your Google password.
- Profile. Your display name, pen names, genres, and, if you join review copy campaigns, the public retailer reviewer profile URL you choose to link.
- Content. Books, covers, blurbs, files, and responses you upload or write.
- Activity. Boosts you give and receive, review copies you claim, checks and reports you make, credits earned and used.
- Link clicks. When someone clicks a tracked link we record the click with a one-way identifier derived from connection details, which changes daily. We use it to count each visitor once per day. We may add automated bot scoring and approximate location to improve fraud filtering.
- Payments. When paid plans are available, payments will be handled by Polar, our merchant of record. We would receive your plan status, never your card details.
- Email activity. Our email provider (Resend) processes delivery of the emails we send you.
3. How we use it
- To run the service: matching books to readers, counting clicks, crediting reads, generating promo images from your content.
- To prevent fraud: filtering bot clicks, deduplicating, and reviewing reported activity.
- To send service emails: sign-in links, activity that needs your attention, and a weekly summary. You can turn off non-essential emails in settings.
- We do not sell your personal data and we do not run third-party advertising on the service.
4. Advance copy downloads
Advance copies are delivered through short-lived links tied to your account, and we keep a record of which account downloaded which copy. Downloaded files are for your personal reading only. We may add identifying marks inside the files themselves in the future; if we do, this policy will say so before it happens.
5. What other users see
- Your display name appears with your books, on your boosts, and on the lifter wall of books you have boosted. Your giving activity (boosts given, books read) appears alongside your books.
- Authors whose books you claim as a reader can see that you claimed a copy and receive the notes you send them when you finish.
- Authors you boost, and authors who boost you, see the evidence and click counts attached to those boosts.
- Your email address is never shown publicly.
6. Service providers
We use a small set of providers to run IndieLift: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Railway (application hosting), and Resend (email). Polar will process payments when paid plans are available. They process data only to provide their service to us. Data is hosted in the United States; if you use the service from elsewhere, your data is transferred there.
7. Retention
- Account and content data: kept while your account exists.
- Raw click records: kept while needed for counting and fraud review. We plan to reduce older records to aggregate totals.
- Credit ledger records: kept for the integrity of the credit system; after account deletion they are retained in de-identified form.
- To delete your account, email hello@getindielift.com until self-serve deletion ships in settings. We remove or de-identify personal data within 30 days, except where law requires longer.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or object to processing of your personal data. Email hello@getindielift.com and we will honor valid requests. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your data protection authority.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as appearance. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
10. Age
IndieLift is for people 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has an account, contact us and we will remove it.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. For significant changes we will give notice in the product or by email before they take effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
